Can we get a tool that draws a hand of cards? I feel like twofers are easier to judge that way.
Also: "For betraying the Sultan, the general was thrown into the pit of _."
Rando gives us:
Quote: For betraying the Sultan, the general was thrown into the pit of grunting mermaids.
For betraying the Sultan, the general was thrown into the pit of sloppy seconds.
For betraying the Sultan, the general was thrown into the pit of a secret exit.
For betraying the Sultan, the general was thrown into the pit of gravitational collapse.
Ok, damn, speaking of rando lottery, I wanted to turn this one into a toofer so I rephrased it thusly:
The theif was caught stealing _ from the sultan, and so was thrown into the pit of _.
...and got this:
Quote: The theif was caught stealing pomp from the sultan, and so was thrown into the pit of ideas above your station.
<edit>
And THEN I got
Quote: The theif was caught stealing a leak from the sultan, and so was thrown into the pit of keeping the pressure on.
I like this kind of twofer because it can work if you don't have related white cards, but still can be better if you do.

I was having a Pixies moment walking around thinking of "Monkey Gone to Heaven" and thought, why not test out a black card [even if I had to rephrase it a bit]?
If man is _, then the devil is _ and God is _.
Test cases:
Quote: If man is you sick fucks, then the devil is most people and God is an English-speaking Mexican.
If man is a conflict of interest, then the devil is a quandary and God is the scary door.
If man is that urpy feeling like when you eat too much, then the devil is blocking the exit and God is a flood of emotions.
If man is a silly goose, then the devil is Satan's mother and God is a do-gooder.
If man is my latest perversion, then the devil is a feminine penis and God is the last thing I said.
Seems functional.

acting in an irresponsible fashion

The school district had to pay a lot of hush money to parents after the "_" incident in the science lab.
This one can take the definite article before the quotes, but unfortunately cards like 'a thing' sound weird with the 'a' left on. Still good though.
"The school district had to pay a lot of hush money to parents after the "specimens" incident in the science lab."
Sometimes the quotes seem like they're probably pointless:
"The school district had to pay a lot of hush money to parents after the "struggling with a police officer" incident in the science lab."
Maybe tag articles on white cards, and then have a 'ditch the articles' flag on black cards?
... And so my mom asked me, "if all your friends were _, would you be _ as well?"

I think this all comes back to letting the players make small edits to the white cards. I was all hot and bothered about it originally, but not so much any more. I feel like it will take too long and people will deliberate too much.
Instead. Kind of like you are saying, we can keep some meta-information on the cards, in order to drop articles and change cases and conjugations. Parsing English is very hard, though.
Also. Subject-verb agreement wrt plurals and other nonsense. Notice. One works with singular and present continuous verbs. The other works with plurals. [Are there other forms in the current cards?]
_ is the best way to say hello.
_ are the best ways to say hello.
Maybe the black card should be stored as:
_ {is/are} the best way{/s} to say hello.

Caution, though. Even if we do this, it will require the Czar to actually read the composed card, and not the white cards. I guess the interface is not very friendly to this concept.

I actually think it is fine this case, if read right.

Also, people have 10 cards to choose from, so if, like, 1 out of 10-ish cards doesn't work then people can just not use them.
It DOES happen that everyone playing is all like "Aww, none of my cards are grammatical" on some black cards.
So I dunno. English is so fuckin' hard.
Also, white card:

We're about to be not-so current as I spend my shift today thinking about spiders and also some new suggestions.
WHITE CRAWDADS:
Harmonized menstruation.
A mind such as yours.
Getting huge.
Let me emphasize that:
HUGE
BLACK CRAWDAD:
The way to the lost city was perilous, and we soon found ourselves knee deep in _.
Test cases:
Quote: The way to the lost city was perilous, and we soon found ourselves knee deep in a disgrace.
The way to the lost city was perilous, and we soon found ourselves knee deep in no recourse.
The way to the lost city was perilous, and we soon found ourselves knee deep in placing yourself above others.
The way to the lost city was perilous, and we soon found ourselves knee deep in a little spurt.
The way to the lost city was perilous, and we soon found ourselves knee deep in the absolute verifiable truth.
The way to the lost city was perilous, and we soon found ourselves knee deep in long, spindly legs.
