...Its a basic question. I know we've been always asked it, but I've always wondered what people here waste their lives on all day (or night), to buy stuff the bare essentials (ie: food, housing, clothing, toenail clippers, condoms, ect.).
Currently, I go to this place called high school, and I'm not even paid for it. Which sucks. But even more astounding; I have no choice to leave! I'm stuck! At least I only got 2 more years. But later on, I want to get a job in game design.
What do you want to major in/doing?

Well, Currently in Middle school, Gr. 7 , yes im young. // But i want to be a major on Animation / Game design.
Corn Jer try making a game,
>>Superjer's has a big community of fans, like myself. If Superjer/____Jer makes a game of Mc Diddy's you can earn alot of money. But then again, you need lots of time to make it, and the right program. And thats not it, You have to make sprites for when the characters do actions. Anyways, Im just saying If McDiddy's Makes a game the community would be x4 the size<<
and you should try making a ONLINE game, birds eye view game, like Pacman and shiot, Just make it online and have lots of rooms :D

I've actually made some stuff in GM6. But the only way your going to make good games is with stuff like C++ or Blitz Basic-Although gamemaker does have a nifty scripting language similar to C though. I was able to make some cool stuff with that.

Blitz is easy, but not as powerful as C++. However C++ takes a long time to make even a simple game. I'm in the process now though of learning it.

No demo unfortunately. What happened was I wanted to make it in 3D, like the old GTA's, so I tried doing that in GM. It was then that I learned the true slowness of interpreted code, so I moved to blitz basic. After about a month of coding, I reasoned that game studios probably would not care if you had that on your resume (as well as not being willing to pay $100 to buy blitz3D) so I decided to try and port what I had written to Dev C++ last week. I'm still in the process of doing that, but I need to learn how to implement Directx and direct input, as well as learn to code windows programming and stuff. Plus I need to put all the function prototypes in the header file main.h as well, for example. So I got a lot to do, but yeah, I do have most of the sprites and stuff already created.
I could post the GM6 file, but I don't want people to steal my work, so I might just make an executable of what I have so far.

I once tried to make a mcdiddy's flashgame sidescroller, but it sucked. 
Well, making gamemaking your profession sure sounds cool, but I guess it's pretty hard to get into it, sadly.

Accurate enough.
Although my code was not "teh suck", but it was the game design software itself was "teh suck".
One more thing: I meant that the language would be out of place on a resume (Blitz Basic), not nessesarly the game.

sophmore in HS. Im thinking about working for a company like AMD or a company that makes computer mods like DangerDen. Too many people i know want to get into game design, but they have no idea what theyre talking about. If I do get into game design i was thinking about level designer/3d animator.

I take care of my bonkers, beligerent and blind grampa. There really isn't time for anything else. It's like taking care of a three year old who tries to call the cops every time you won't give him a cup of coffee. Luckily he's crazy and blind, so he can't tell that we replaced the phone with a sesame street "fun-phone".
