Try some live arcade games.
Some xbox360 games are pretty cool, especially the live arcade stuff sounds interesting, but I still don't buy one. I guess.

LEGO Star Wars II is good even though it looks like it's for kids.
Dead Rising is good if you like to kill zombies.
Hitman: Blood Money is really good. One of my favorite games ever. If you have a monster PC (like me) then play it on PC. Otherwise XBOX360 is your best bet.
Personally, I'm not touching a console until November 19.

I bet you can play with anyone. But then again, knowing Nintendo, they've made at LEAST 3 different versions of every game with slightly different content or names. That may cause some incompatibility... but it IS Nintendo so they probably did it right.

I kind of like when there's multiple versions because 10 years later when we're emulating all this stuff and remembering the good old times we can get all excited about investigating the differences between versions and being like OMG look what they did LOL.

Eh, I'm waiting for the PS3 right now for all the backwards compatibility nonsense because I was one of those freaks that never got a PS2.
Metal Gear is up there on the things to do list when that rolls along. But I'd need a job and money. I'd better get working on that (prolly never).

I wasn't planning on buying one immediately.
Not at that price at least, and not without means to easily pay for it.
At least I trust Sony to be able to actually develop for their system as opposed to the other systems in the past that were advanced, but way too expensive (and had no real support).
But asking people to give a kidney as a trade-in is usually asking a bit much.
