I love CS:S! Its so cool! How could you not like it  ?
I have Light Speed Internet so I cant play CS:S (without the painful lag  ).
Have you tried DOD:S? Its good espically if you like WWII games!

buy hl 1 and u can get 1.6 for free off of steam.
Comp games are good cuz u have a keyboard and a mouse which is the best to use and counterstrike was basically what made computer gaming so popular( thats what got me started back in the 5th grade (im almost 15))
Gaming consoles are too restrictive unless theyre modded, then they become more of a computer.

I am PISSED
First, I download the 356 meg file, which takes about 3 hours, WITH a cable connection. Then it takes about half an hour the next day, when I install it. So it finally finishes, and then steam takes about another half hour to update. Another 15 minuites to load steam, and it tells me "Preload Complete" It says "Purchase" in one of those two green buttons. I click it, and it asks me for money. WTF. I have HL1 Installed.

Steam sucks. Do you have HL installed in STEAM? Or seperately. You have to verify your key code thru steam in order to play 1.6 on steam.

errrr....sorry but i have to disagree with you all there.
a few of my friends had 1.6 and i played on it and thought it was great.
so great that i asked my girfriend to buy it for me while i was at work and didnt have the time to go get it myself.
i returned home after a long days work only to find that she bought me half life 2 with cs:source. as annoyed as i was i still installed it, picked a server playing de_dust and fell in love.
i phoned my mates and told them but they just said `its shit compared to 1.6`. a few days later one of my friends came round and had a go of cs:s which led to him buying it and showing the other 1.6 players just how out of date and ugly 1.6 is, leading to them buying it.
steam sucks, but 1.6 versus source is like sega mega drive versus xbox 360

I don't like either of them. 1.3 pwns all CS. That is probably just because I pretty much stopped playing CS back when 1.3 was the newest version.
1.6 still blows source out of the wizzater though, all the pros know that. (I'm not a pro.)

I find setting up a server and stuff is too complicated. I really wanted to play online when I bought 1.6, but then, I had to set-up and stuff. So now, CS is sitting behind old magazines on my shelf. Wow, I'm surprised I still know where it is.
