That's way the fuck out there.
We're planning on going to Little Pendejo Bandera Mountain. It's close-ish and supposed to be a good seven-mile roundtrip and not super steep or anything. Considering that we didn't get to Pilchuck until 2:15 or so the idea of us all getting together to go to Winthrop in time to do anything relevant seems insane.

It was 8 miles, it wasn't particularly hard, and it was pretty funs. I thought about love and tractor beams while I was on the mountain. I sang sad country songs about loss on the way down. We got the name of the mountain wrong as many times as possible, examples include: Pendejo, Bandito, Panito, Pantera and Chingaderas. GaryJer exclaimed "It's Little Panito Mountain Mosquito!" upon realizing there was a mosquito on SJamz face. Laughter was unstoppable.
I'll need some kine of email address to send my nombre to. I'm too lazy (far too lazy) to dig it up myself.

If by 10 miles, you mean 10 miles each way... then yes.
There's some pretty nice spots up by twin lakes, but they're more of the "hike up the mountain, camp at the top, hike back down the next day" type of trails... not the "Hike up, take a couple pictures, eat a sandwich, hike back down the same day" type.

Putting aside the balance issues, the enormous scramble, and the 45 degree meadow with nothing to hold on to that lead to the mailbox, you were getting tired and starting to slow down before that happened and ran out of drinks early on. You got about as far as you could there.
