Fixed.

Another problem :(

Why the light in my map comes from everywhere? Not only from the spotlights. It's like full-lighting.
User
Thanks, it works now.

I have another problem, but I don't want to open another topic about it.

I've spotted a light in the roof, and I've also added a neon texture to it, to look like a real light source.

But when I check it in-game, I don't find the neon texture..

And you'll understand what I'm talking about.

You're asking how to change a texture. The page I linked to tells you how to do that. Just use the proper textures (ladder, aaatrigger, and clip), and that's it.

Who said anything about textures?

I've made a ladder, but I need to change it's color to make some parts of it invisible. So, how can I change it's color?

I've got all the needed entities, info_player_start, info_player_deathmatch, & light.

EDIT: I fixed a leak, and all is okay now. Thanks for trying to help.

I've followed the making a counter strike map tutorial, and I've faced a problem. There's a "Nablus.err" file, which has the text "Error: Portal file 'Nablus.prt' does not exist, cannot vis the map".

I've tried many versions of ZHLT, and I've downloaded it from it's main site, but still didn't fix my problem.

Could Superjer, or any other expert reply for me please?

Regards, Rami

NOTE: Nablus is the mapname

some of your files is not where they should be. I mean .wad files. Have you moved them?
well i checked that already but i was thinking that you could give me a clearer answer.

So if my zhlt .bat file looks like this

@echo off
hlcsg -nowadtextures mapname
hlbsp mapname
hlvis mapname
hlrad mapname

Should i change it to be like this

@echo off
hlcsg -nowadtextures mapname
hlbsp mapname
hlvis mapname
hlrad -sparse mapname

????
Should this work? or is there anyway i should change my map
okay thanks
how can i fix this? compile stopped at hlrad so I could test my map. of course it was fullbright.

there are some parts in my map that are not visible all the time but when you get very near them they are visible.

so what can I do to avoid this.

I have a pretty large map. I put some clip texture before when I got error max map clipnodes. that fixed it but this is a new one.
Is it possible to make a wall that when you can walk trought it from only one-way?
IT WORKS!!!

Thank you so much.

I tried making map with cs fgd and it didn't work but this one does. thanks again
okay so I went to page http://www.half-life.deltauk.net/Files/FGDs/ and right-clicked halflife-op4.fgd link and selected save to disk.

Correctly done so far?

selected game configuration from hammer and selected only op4 file.

Looks good. at least correct entities

Sorry for lots of messages. Noticed edit button just now
oh is this test like what fgd looks inside?
quick answer but don't understand anything about that.

just a lot of text to me... where should I put it? do I need to modify it?

I just want to create half-life deathmatch map. how can it be so different from cs maps
Okay so I now enough about making maps for cs 1.6 and cz but if i'd like to create a map for Half-Life Opposing Force what do I need to know? Besides that you put player_starts all over the map and use weapon_*** entities?
Truck
Thanks for replys but I solved this already.

It was because of vertex manipulation

What to do?
Yeah I did use advanced settings but when I realized that I can't solve this myself I rememberd Superjer Forum.

I'm glad this problem is solved.
Wow!!! Thank you SO MUCH Killer-Duck!!!

Before I checked this from Hammer I noticed that you had posted that reply, I rememberd that you have always given great advises and you gave one once again.

Thanks again!

And hey Down Rodeo, I also checked Catalyst Ctrl Center but the solution wasn't there. Thanks anyway.
What's CCC?
At my last post I was decided to stop doing maps with hammer but now I want to start again...

New "firetruck" here. http://www.superjer.com/forum/stupid_graphic_card_problem.php#50043
No. Xp Professional.

It worked with my last computer which had worse graphic card.

And yeah with me it also selects some big object behind what I'm trying to select.

Damn... I really don't know what to do...
Hi,

I'm using Ati Radeon 9600 graphic card.

I downloaded appropriate driver and Catalyst Control Center from Ati
Yeah well I'll just let it be. thx anyway
One day suddenly a problem in hammer appeard. When I click some object in 3D textured camera it doesn't select it any more.

How can I fix this?
How do I make them? And I'm looking for the easiest way.. Should I do it with sprite?
Oh... well I didn't see those kind of things... Where were they?
Ok well that waterfall thing is a bit mess, i'll do it again but was there anything else wrong? Like tha' cross thing? Do you mean that some brush is like partly "inside" another
Ok but don't laugh at it :D I've made better maps. That was made in 15 minutes.
It just doesn't work! Everytime I use entitys my map won't compile. I tried this same map without entitys and it worked.
But I need these entitys for example func_water and func_train.
How can I fix this? When I check my map for problems it says no errors!

aaa.... It must be from map properties environment map and then select cl_"skyfile". Am I right?
Truck
How do make that kind of sky which replaces the sky texture? I saw some pretty cool skys in fpsbanana but I don't know how to add it to my map.
ok
It doesn't have to move...
How can I make cannon that shoots something, for example balls.
I can make brushes but entitys are the propblem...
But I haven't done aything with VM. And there doesn't seem to be any errors in the map. Plus the bat file is right. (I tested it with simpler map...)
This is what I got

It just doesn't work!

sorry killer-duck but he can. I've downloaded lots of original cs maps in rmf format so I'm the living proof.
Truck
'cause you haven't downloaded any extra entitys... But how can make snow then?
Truck
for example: if you tie some of your brush to env_snow, will it change it as snow, like when you walk on it while playing the game, can you hear that "stepping on a snow" sound?
Truck
how to make water that does not kill people. like that you can't drown...
Truck
If I want to place a light wich can be turned on/off, should I make a brush and tie it to entity func_button and set the name (for example: pilarlight) and then set the lights name also to pilarlight? if not how do i do it? and how about several of lights wich are wanted to be turned on/off from the same button?
Hey. I
Here
wow this is awesome
