I don't know how to use flash, really. I just draw in mspaint and use one of just about a million .gif editors. With .gifs you can just set the delay between each frame to up to 1/100th of a second.

Why is there a glow in the grey areas towards the outlines? Kinda looks weird.
Also, if you'd smoothen up the lines, I think it would look quite nice.

I feel like the small one is just shaped wrong somehow, but I can't pinpoint how. The whitish outline is because this is just a sketch and I didn't bother to feather the fill enough. I only spent like 15 minutes total on that picture... it was just to see if I could find why the pixel version looked wrong. I can make it look correct when I sketch it in a freehand flash doodling environment but when I try to draw the same thing in mspaint it comes out wrong. I just don't get it.

I reckon it might be the left arm down to the body. The line looks kind of wrong... like she has a freakishly long arm. Then there's the sudden curve inwards. Which accentuates it.
