So post your favorite PC games of all time. BTW, if you put down Doom 3 I'll cry.
Mine?
StarCraft, Jedi Knight II, Max Payne 2, Diablo II, Counter-Strike, and Star Trek: Armada.
My top 2 are StarCraft and Counter-Strike, just for sheer number of hours of pure joy.

I think I'll speak for a few people on here when I say: Fallout 2.
Beyond that, I've wasted a good amount of time on Diablo II, Starcraft, Civilization III: Conquests, Heroes III (before they fucking ruined the series), and Age of Empires II. Fallout Tactics was also kind of fun at times if you managed to cut yourself off from the idiocy of the stage by stage plot and tried to forget you were playing a Fallout game, and instead opted for the mindless brutality of running around with a Gauss Minigun.
I think lately I've tended to be more of a fiend for emulators.

no I have it it just got horribly boring after awhile. and besides that after I quit playing for like 3 weeks I was cut from my guild, and I did nothing wrong at all I just wasn't on for awhile. It was crap. I qit play AC for awhile and lost my account because my Granny stopped paying it. after about 4 months of not playing I go back and I'm still in all my guilds and I still have everything I had when I quit. so I decided what game is truly better. AC might not be pretty but damn it's fun.

It's a really cool game, but you're right: the quests are always the same:
kill 10 morons, collect 12 ears of stupidity, deliever that mail, kill Mr.Sick.
and: if you need 10 troll ears, and you kill a troll, 1 out of 10 has EARS... what a logic so you have to kill like 100 trolls to get those stupid ears... that makes you sick.
and: what's AC?

the singal best MMORPG of all time. it's not very pretty graphics wise but that doesn't matter it's the gameplay that counts. it's called Ashron's Call.

I am always amazed people are willing to actually pay a monthly fee for the absolute crap that is MMORPGs. They are SO boring, SO reptitive, and SO lame. They get old amazingly fast and the turn-based combat just blows (yes some games make it "look" like it's real-time, but it's actually turn-based). Why anyone would ever pay a monthly fee for this is mind blowing. I wouldn't play any MMORPGs for very long even if there wasn't a monthly fee.
IRC is free people, you don't need to pay $15 a month for a glorified version of the same thing.

My favorite PC game is "True Love." Spending a couple hours trying to nail as many girls as you can, which results in breaking many hearts and your friend threatening to kill you if you ever act like that in real life, is quite entertaining. I still haven't figured out how to nail every girl. Some of them I haven't even found yet.
Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds is kinda fun, especially if you like Age of Empires. It uses the AOE engine but adds flying vessels and cloaking ability. It's AOE-meets-Starcraft.
