It's been an exciting nine months since we launched the Google Chrome browser. Already, over 30 million people use it regularly. We designed Google Chrome for people who live on the web

Welcome to SuperJer Forums! We hope that you get hotheaded and leave without remembering that your shit is still here!

Anyway, Why are you posting this? I am pretty sure a lot of people here know what Google Chrome is, if not do not mention it to them their little brains cannot keep up with modern day technology(Havokk).

EDIT: What are you a Google Employee?

That's the official announcement for Google's own operating system, to be released sometime. This guy appears to be some variant of spammer.

I say we implement a fine for puns. It's the only way myself and others will learn (you think I'm kidding but my dad's work has a tin which has a tenner in it, as well as myriad pieces of change; at 50p per pun that's not bad).

I think that was actually too stupid to be considered a pun.

Punning was considered high art back in the day, you know.

It's going to suck. Hard. The computing world and the every-day world has been used to the old shit for far too long.

Vista failed for a reason.

Chrome is decent.

Apart from the whole part where it swallows your thoughts and interests and internet usage as well as your soul and stores them binary digits.

It's a reasonable price to pay for eternal damnation.

I like chrome. I find it easier to get around to my favorite sites and to google things.

I like everything about chrome except for the fact that it cancels your downloads at the drop of a hat. Or the drop of any other kind of apparel. It just really likes to cancel downloads.

It's amazing how a spam post by a random bot can turn into a 15 post ontopic debate about what the bot wrote while a normal topic by a non-bot person usually survives about... 1 post.
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

I think Chrome OS will not attract much to the hard core gamers. As it will require minimal hardware to just support web based games that needs less memory.

I don't think Google has what it takes to ride with the big boys [Microsoft and Apple of course]. I mean how many versions of Windows have they gone through to get a decently good one [with still a lot of suck in it --talking about xp], and then MS goes and fucks it up with Vista, and lets face it Win 7 aint any better [jus' a little]. If anybody's got their shit together its Apple [aside from the iPhone [or whatever letter is capitalized]]. But, to get back on subject, I don't think Chrome OS is going to be a hit right out of the gates. I mean its like having a cobbler go and make a gaming rig that has to keep up with Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo. Google needs to shove their thumbs up their asses and be happy with that and shut up about it. [Take that to your CEO Mr. Fancy Fellow]

I'm pretty certain Google is fairly big, actually. Though I don't necessarily think this is an awesome, must-have thing. Could be useful on *really* low-power netbooks though.

Chrome OS isn't a totally new operating system. It's Linux-based and has stuff from Ubuntu in it, for example.

Google's not starting from scratch except for the interface. Sort of.

Really? I remember when I first started seeing some articles and stuff about it their main advertising point was that it would be made completely from scratch.
That kinda disappointing
