ok guys im bored guys so id like to know whats an awesome band you guys like.
But even then, I had my honor. The largest Banora White tree grew on a wealthy man's estate. It was rumored, that those apples tasted the best, but I never stole from that tree, because the wealthy man's son, was my friend...

I'm listening to Biffy Clyro at the moment. Arcade Fire are really good. I listen to a lot of Kings of Leon. Interpol, Blur, Feeder, Travis, Greenday, Radiohead (and Thom Yorke's solo stuff), Lemon Jelly, Muse, The Zutons, The Foo Fighters, Gorillaz, Rage Against the Machine, Coldplay, U2, Gotan Project, Franz Ferdinand, Queens of the Stone Age, Pink Floyd, Doves...
I reckon that covers stuff I've listened to in the past couple of weeks.
EDIT: I don't know how in holy hell I could forget the Chilis!

Well, when I said copy I meant "borrowed the CD from someone then accidentally made a copy of the disc, carelessly slipping the songs onto my iTunes"

Why limit the music you listen to just to bands? There's plenty of awesome composers out there that aren't part of any band that make "phatty jams", so to speak.

I don't, but I was asked for bands and replied with. For instance I am quite partial to a bit of Bebel Gilberto, Norah Jones, Brian Wilson, Bob Dylan, Damien Rice, David Gray, Jack Johnson, Jose Gonzalez (I will not be bothering with the accents and graves think you), KT Tunstall, Madeline Peyroux, Paul Simon, Scott Matthews... That's almost it that I care to mention but there are others...

I was actually talking to Jigsaw. But I'm pleased to see you listen to a wider scope of music than you originally implied. Besides, Gorillaz isn't really a band, the two guys in it pretty much never come into contact with each other and only one of them is a musician.

Hmm. I wonder why...
Also, Devo is the only band ever. All else are smoke and lies.

Except Travis? :( And Lemon Jelly aren't rock. They're more... "let's not go there I have no idea what this genre is". iTunes calls them "Electronica and dance" but then iTunes LIES! I also have 5 System albums... but does anyone really take them seriously any more? I don't listen to them so much now.
PS Damon Albarn is a genius.

Mozart pwns Bach any day. I hate anything before Classical (Especially Baroque. Good god. Music for pussies.) and pretty much everything after it until you slap headlong into the 70's.
More important than any of that though is this list of Japanese composers:
Koji Kondo
Nobuo Uematsu
Yoko Kanno
Yuki Kajiura
Yuzo Koshiro
and very recently Mahito Yokota
I want all of them to impregnate me with their spawn. They are the shit. Those are the only people I know of who can repeatedly and regularly produce music that I like. They are also the only people who can produce music that is so awesome I occasionally can't safely drive because listening to them makes my knees weak. Well, actually, just Yoko and Yuki do that.
