Here's my first shot ever at drawing a girl's face. Almost entirely from scratch, I looked up some eyes and sorta eyed it... eye eye eyes eyed. God it's easy to draw in flash... shouldn't this look like a 4 year old's drawing of a pumpkin?

I used to draw. But whenever I drew, it always turned out to be something fantastical, like demon aliens, or giant cities in space.
I think I could still scan some if you want.

If they're rad, go ahead. Not much else to do here.
This is my first attempt at drawing an entire female character... I edited the head somewhat as well, so sue me!
And I didn't trace nuthin'! Hooha! Flash! I was really proud of the feet... they look like feet! I used my own as reference. She's not wearing clothes so that you can tell I didn't make any shortcuts... and that's the only reason! Go to hell!
Maybe some day I'll draw something at an angle or that isn't symmetrical.

I changed things up a bit for this installment, not so... "thick in the ribcage" this time. Your nose issue may or may not be addressed, but after some serious fine tuning I think there's been improvement.
Also, this time I drew her in underwear not to show her form but because she's PURTY. I got bored with people telling me I was trying to draw Ayane from DOA so I changed some colors as well. Now I'm bored with you too.
Quit staring you pervert!
Also, Cornell, why haven't you posted pictures of space demons attacking that flying city Boston lives in.

Alright, her face has been bugging me a bit and I now know why:
Currently, she has this weird bunny/cat grin. Perhaps adding a bit more emphasis on her lower lip would lessen this effect, unless that was your original intention.
Also, the nose also looks a bit, uh, animalistic? Might I suggest toying with two additional lines, one running vertical, then the other connecting vertical line top to one of the lower points.
Something like this:

Having the additional lines on the noses can't look right, because I'm not going to shade this. And having any other shape, or having the nose at an angle doesn't work because the picture is is head on. I toyed with it a LOT. The only way to make it look right is to tilt the head at an angle, then it is a child's piece of play cake.
Also, that example picture you used of the bikini chick isn't a very good example of drawing things well... the perspective looks *VERY* wrong on the legs. Looks like a couple of fat noodles.
I'm also still working on making the proportions of the head look right... so it'll look different in the end anyway.

I think the problem may be be that the scanner is "bloody" as you say. Any kind of liquid on a scanner will cause problems. And if you mean that it requires blood to function, like some kind of nosferatu-scanner or a scanner of the night we have a whole nother problem all together.
