iTunes in itself is surprisingly not that bad. My iPod however, is this worst piece of hardware I've ever owned (and when I was alive portable cd players came out of folks, which is pretty bad).

Rhythmbox... has the least annoying last.fm integration. And I need my lastfum.
On Windows I just use WMP because I'm a lazy jerk. Winamp's library support looks too annoying. I don't need my music player to look like a rice rocket.

iTunes is till worst than most things that are known and plenty more that are unknown.
I prefer the Zune interface, but I wouldn't use it as a player because it does seem to use a bit of resources.

I see your music list and among its names there are artists that make me wonder what is wrong with the music industry today. Of course, I can quickly answer that question - there is nothing wrong as diversity is in fact the best thing and more music is always good - but seriously, some of it is shit.
