Hey does any1 know how to make something like the vent in surf_ski_2? (something that lifts you up) , Do I make a brush with AAATRIGGER texture, Tie to entity, make it trigger up, but it on the floor of the vent, and adjust Yaw Pitch Roll or whatever its called?

All you need is ONE entity. Trigger_push with aaatrigger applied to it.
Thing is, I never knew how to aim it UP. Even if you adjust roll and pitch- You can't turn the yaw OFF! The trigger will ALWAYS be pushing you sideways too.

amm... can't you do it with the flags ? O_o to lazy to open hammer right now but if you make an entity then in the window there should be a tab named flags with witch you can edit stuff ,
eg: you can make a rotating door and in the flags tab set it to rotate on z , x or y axis so you can make a trap door , or any kind of rotating door
look it up maybe you'll succeed ( or your gonna wait for superjer , 99% chance that he knows how to do it )

As I've said in the chat adjusting the pitch makes you go up and down, sort of thing. I don't know what the value is though- try 90, 180 or 270. 180 is probably the most likely. That said, it might actually be 90. Have fun.

Hm. OK well I did what I said before in my first post, and adjusted pitch to 90 and 180, then adjusted speed to 700.. When I go in my map its as if nothing is there. I also made a small map with tons of them to test it out, and nothing worked.. Also, read this last post by superjer http://www.superjer.com/forum/jumppad.php
It says -45, so in my case -90.. I tried that and nothing worked.. and see where in says Angle: Up/Down? I set that to up

I don't know then, sorry. I suppose you could try random angles and stuff, to get some idea. Really it should be easier than this Valve, why?

OK I figured this out!!!! my problem was that I just had the trigger push on the floor.. what you need to do is have it stretched upwards, for how long you want the boost to last for.

actually i just figured out you dont need to mess around with the pitch and all that stuff....al you need to do is set up blocks height to how high you want to go, and to the left of the andgles theres a little drop down list. select the "up" and there you go....just make sure your speed of push is higher than 800 cus you gatta beat the gravity remember?
