Sooooo... I'm done with basic training, and am now in tech school in beautiful (lolno) Wichita Falls Texas.
I'm on my roommates macbook (don't worry, I'll sanitize my hands afterwards), but I had my mom ship out my desktop and it should be here Thursday. When it arrives, we'll all have to have a SJ CS1.6 party or something.

Or perhaps I'll buy CS:GO and we'll play that? Who knows...

Anyway... just wanted to say that I'm back. I won't be able to be on as much as I used to be, but I'll be around for sure.

Anyone wanna know anything about AF basic training?

I play here all the time, it's an extremely shitty server, I still pwn with my 100 ping cuz the majority are noobs, but thankfully there are lots of admins that ban the hacksaws, so it's full of noobs with no hackers, what more could you ask for?

but of course having bad admins also means that I actually have to adjust my style so they won't ban me for "walling" (ie: I don't trace people through the wall based no their footsteps and I sometimes deliberately don't follow my instincts when I'm guessing where the last enemy is so they won't cry hacks)

Smite sounds pretty sweet, I'm definitely gonna check it out. Is it closed or open beta?

I'll join that server once I get my headset, SRAW. That way I can taunt kids as I rape them.

It's closed but I can send you a key if you want. DotA, HoN and LoL are equally garbage in comparison to Smite. It is now the only moba.

There is no auto-targeting. Everything is a skillshot. The view mode means you can sneak up on people. It is glorious.

If I wasn't so into Darksouls right now I'd try to holler at that key. Looks amazing, although it seems like you can see enemy health bars through pretty large chunks of the map around obstructions?

If an enemy is visible to your team you can see their info from any distance. And we can't just keep calling every DotA DotA. It needs an actual name, and moba is what got popular so what the fuck ever.

Uh... no. Because it doesn't play at all like any RPG? I don't care if LoL invented it, Smite even takes a lot of things from LoL, but it doesn't MATTER. Because SKILLSHOTS. So it's better than dota by INFINITY. Trust me, as a counterstrike player, you will fucking own and fucking love it.

I don't like the name MOBA either, it's so generic it doesn't even make any sense... like what online game ISN'T that? But alas, that is what they are called, so get over it. Lots of things have stupid names. At least in the case of Smite a lot of people refuse to call it a MOBA because its too different.

Also, how much does your laptop suck? Because so far I haven't found a computer shitty enough to not run Smite, it has very low requirements.

Well I can run source games on medium settings and battlefield 2 on the highest without lag, but anyways:

Vid card= ati mobility radeon hd 4300 series with 1273mb
Processor= Amd turion 2 dual core mobile m520 2.30ghz

also it has 2gb of ram, but I'm not sure if it's ddr2 or ddr3

Is this the third person one coming out relatively soon? Looked cool, I guess, though I have just been sucked into DotA 2. Have you tried Super Monday Night Combat? Basically the same but very much less complicated, and most of the players on don't know how to play. Valve were talking about calling them ARTS, as in action RTS. I dunno, might as well call it LBMARTSwRPGE?

Except that not all mobas are at all an RTS, since Smite has no RTS aspects at all. Anybody that wants a Smite key can just tell me what their email is. If you don't want to post your email here emailing me is fine. If you can't figure out what my email is you're a fucking idiot.
