Thanks and how do I get the textures out of my cs directory? And where do i extract the wad files i just downloaded?

You can keep your wads anywhere, although I recommend you extract them to your cstrike directory.

To load wads.. tutorial page 2. I'm sorry I can't explain what you need to do, I just don't have Hammer on the computer I'm using now!

go to tools/options/textures/ add wad

don't use to many more then 8 i think

Personally I like to keep .wads in my compile directory.

If they are in cstrike it is possible to make maps that only work on your computer (unless you send people the .wads along with your map, and they install them correctly).
