OK fuck this noise, I'm going to do it in Windows. :( It makes me sad that it's so fucking difficult on GNU/Linux. I mean, the tutorial stuff isn't included for licensing reasons. Bloody FSF twats.

Whats difficult? Writing a program? I just use code::blocks for my IDE needs. You could search Google for it, just make sure that you don't have any crazy themes, and to get the nightly build, not RC2.
Also, try using allegro if your writing in C/C++. The new 4.9 build has DirectX and Opengl drivers now, which is a welcome addition that they seriously needed to add. You will need to build it yourself though, cause its a source only dev release, unfortunately. I need to change the header files so that it works with the old xfree86 build...maybe I should change that.

Do you know in my horrendously tired state (i mean havokk went to bed before me and I must be how many hours ahead?) I forgot to mention that I was trying to use OGRE. The best part is that it's not working here either. Ho hum.
EDIT: I might well go back to GNU/Linux and use CrystalSpace. It integrates nicely with Blender as there is currently a joint project involving both communities underway. But then, since most people on this board are Windows users, and the difficulty involved in writing code to go 'both ways' I'll probably stick with OGRE. And bullet. And a network thing. And... ZZZZZZ
Yes, I realise the futility inherent in trying this at all. But hey, a man has to have a hobby. (see EdAn.)
And finally a cry for help: anybody good at making models? We are far from that stage, horribly horribly far away, but I ain't doing that bit too...

well i did say id do the thinking.Id do the models but I don't know how and i hate tutorials id rather someone beside me each me or i can't hardly do it.
Must be a human being or video at least.and i don't know how to code.I'm basically putting in the story lines and what we should look like.(At least me :D) and what there is.

Change again: for laughs. OGRE refuses to work like a Greenockian on disability benefit (might just be MSVC but whatever). So it's back to GNU/Linux for the mo with CrystalSpace; we'll see where it goes from there. As I said this has many nice benefits involving modelling etc; and CEL being more dedicated to game engine-ing.

You are so right. It's totally not.
Havokk said I should try this; he's the one that knows what content there would be. I am currently going under the assumption that he means people from the forums. (I guess you have some kind of copyright over the cartoon people. All the stuff that I personally do I'd aim to be releasing under LGPL or Creative Commons, depending on whether it was coding or... whatever else. That is also if it's possible, some of it might not be.)
