K, so I know you cant exceed the size of the grid in Hammer, but im starting to make surf maps and im wondering how you make many large leves (like surf_water-run, or surf_ninja), The closest ive came to this was fitting 2 tiny levels in the grids..any help? Or is there another program like hammer with lager grid???
the smart people who made hammer made it so there's a limit to the map size FOR A GOOD REASON .
if you can't fit your map in the grid then , your DOING IT WRONG ! a map shouldn't be so large ,
( i don't get you guys with your gigantic surf maps ).
big ass maps like that are laggy ,
and always big maps are big cause the one who makes them, makes everything big !like a table the size of a room , a racecar big as a truck and so on ..

I saw a clever CoD2 map that was like a kitchen, it was pretty big.
The limits on map size are in hammer because the GldSrc also has map size limits. It's the same for Source but I'm not sure if they can be circumvented in some way... Garry's Mod has some huge maps.
