I couldn't say I particularly disliked either song... but it was just more music for people who don't know there are instruments other than guitars and drums. I've heard the "guitars + drums" thing so much I can hardly make a distinction between different songs using them unless they do something extremely unusual.

Yea, that's sadly quite true. People should experiment more. Like Animal Collective and MGMT lol.

<3 Monster
Skillet is rising to one of my fav bands.
Funny thing is i love their song "Hero" better than any. But when i ask people if they have heard of Skillet they always talk about "Monster".I love that song too but i just like Hero better.
Speaking of which, i think Jen (i think thats her name) the drummer(the chick) is banging all of them. I think the "Christan Rock" is just a cover up. she cant be that sexy and not have fucked at least one of the other guys.

Well, Rock and Sloth, I'm not sure what those were... but I think I liked them! Or at least I'm not going to admit that I didn't like them, as I'm afraid they might stab me. Alas, I find myself listening to similar musics to dubstep, like breakbeat. Dylan Rhymes made Naked & Ashamed, and therefore I want to make love to his head.
And... Havokk and Sprinkles... hooray... it's that guitar song again! I mean, it's not like it's bad... but haven't you heard it enough times yet?!

It's not jus' about the guitar or drums or vocals; it's about how they all mingle, you know, how they sound together. Take it like a recipe, each ingredient in itself is usual. There is nothing special about ginger or rosemary or salt. It's how you can mix them together in different quantities with different ingredients and so forth that makes them unique and 'good.' You may hear it and go "Oh it's a guitar." But when I hear it I don't focus on one piece I focus on how it interacts and sounds with the other instruments. Even if they do tend to use the same instruments all the time it's jus' nice how different they can sound together. It is like the instruments are all 'telling a story' from a different perspective, and when they all come together you get the full point of view. I mean, I get people [typically older people] ask me how can you listen to them scream? And I simply say most of the time I don't, I pay attention to how the instruments sound. And, I could go on about other 'abstract' properties of music and whatnot, but really, what it comes down to, is how they sound together.
