whenever i type my mesage and press enter it goes away. i cant see anyone elses messages either. i have to use console. any idea how to fix it?

Well I don't have a clue how to fix this problem.

Can you see other text/gui elements? Is it JUST the say text you can't see?

Not that this info will help much, but if none of it is showing up then it is probably a video problem (hardware).

maybe run it in software mode if ur not already doing that.... or change the resolution cuz that can get things messy.... i ono.

I get the same problem after i die, I can only use console to talk or execute any commands like talking or chatting, But it all comes back at respawn so..

It probably is your resolution, because I've had my computer set at the wrong resolution, and it didn't show the text, and then I put the right resolution in, the text showed up.

I dunno if thats your problem but it was mine.
