How to reduce lag in maps?

I got no errors/no leaks, but my fps in my map is ~30-45 (on my old computer, but on new it's ~75 fps), but in other map (which i didn't make, map is almost the same size) i get ~50-60 fps (and again on my old computer, on my new i get ~75fps). Anyone got any tips for reducing lags in making maps?

basically it depends on the "how much do i have" and the "how do i make Little of it"

how much objects do you have?
instead of LOTS boxes side by side (next to each other) just make one big rectangle and apply decals to the object!

to much complex models?

how big is the map?

is there a leak?

Otherwise, do you have a skybox (if yes, is it badly placed)?

How large and complex is your map?

What does r_speeds say?

Map is not large and it's basic Base Builder map, so it's not so complex. VIS ran correctly. I read in other forum about r_speeds, i did almost everything it said. Now i got about ~45-55 fps.

Did all the four compile tools(CSG, BSP, VIS, RAD) run correctly?

Any errors/warnings in the compile log?

base builder maps have lots of objects

try to make a copy of your map with out objects or less objects and see if thats the problem

It is the problem, but i have around ~900 wpolys, but other base builder map has ~2000 wpolys, but it laggs less than my map. Any suggestions?

Get rid of the big open space, that I'm going to presume your map has.

That big space isn't that big as that map's. And i can't do that because it's base builder map, it need to be big open space. And i have bridge on the middle of map which reduces rendering wpolys from one side. Other suggestions?

I had the same problem in my map where when i look far it laggs or when i look at group of entitys at the same time it laggs

most laggs are from leaks, make sure you dont have one make a little test put a skybox on ur map and see if it laggs.

Some Server/Hosts have high performance like 1000FPS or more that it makes the lagg disappear
