The currency is forum gold, if you're trading off of d2jsp.com then there is no currency. They have price lists on d2jsp that people follow fairly closely. Without d2jsp the prices are pretty random, it's very easy to rip someone off or to get ripped off.
...also, I just found some Chaos bots. They are widely proclaimed to be the best Chaos bots, in channel "clan ant". During the first game it just suddenly quit before killing anything, this is expected of any bot. In the second game it got stuck in a corner and just sat there throwing hammers... it eventually got unstuck and finished the run, which was worth about 7 levels, 45-52 or so. It took like... 30 minutes? Yeah, 30 minutes of NM baal will take you from 40-60 easily. It certainly isn't BAD xp, it's just... why go through all the trouble of trying to coax someone into bug rushing you for that? It doesn't make much sense. If you knew people who were pro and could bug rush and chaos run you in person, it would be MUCH faster than the typical Baal run system... but most people don't have that luxury, myself included.

Do you want to play the game normally first or have me rush you? I'll totally play through normally with you if you want. It'd be like fun.

So AJ, 2 questions.
How much FG would I need to get myself a usable Trapsassin and Hammerdin equipment? I don't need the absolute best, I'd just like something that doesn't suck. Example for the hammerdin:
10/10/10 anni
pally 10/10 torch
enigma runes
...
And also what's the best way of getting FG apart from the obvious method of buying it? Should I create and level a MF char first and then the hammerdin?
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

If you have no money/fg whatever the best way to start is to make a MF lit sorc. They can solo most of the bosses in Hell to do MF runs and teleport faster than anyone else without enigma. Basically every serious player makes a MF lit sorc before doing anything else every new ladder... unless they're already loaded with fg and can just buy super-inflated items right off the bat.
Another pretty good way to make fg, a reliable way, is to work with a friend and bug rush to Hell, get the hell forge, and delete the character and start over. And, like I said, they have price lists, which change a LOT. I don't keep up with the prices of things, if I were to tell you anything here I'd just be copy pasting it off of d2jsp...

This guide good enough for a lit mf sorc?
EDIT: I have a jong bong or whatever staff on my hammerdin, now if I create a sorc, then can I somehow transfer it from the hammerdin to the sorc? Like create a game with the hammerdin, stay in it for five minutes, drop the staff, then change the character to the sorc and join the same game? Would that work (I read it somewhere)?
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

Yes, that would work. I usually just join a random game with a bunch of people in it and drop is somewhere that nobody is likely to go in the next 30 seconds. Avoids having to wait 5 minutes, and makes it so that you won't lose your stuff for sure if you DC.
Lit sorcs are very simple, you get the same basic spells that all sorcs use: Warmth, Teleport, and Frozen or Shiver armor, and then just put all your points in Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning and their synergies.
Your only choice at all is between spending the extra 3 points on shiver armor for the defense boost or having slightly higher damage. Either way works just fine. Focus entirely on MF and FCR (300% is good for MF, and it's pointless to go above 400%/117 is the highest feasible amount of FCR for lit spells, although 194 is the final breakpoint {Teleport breakpoints are 105 and 200 for second best and best}), and dump all the stats into vit that you can. The MF is for obvious reasons, better loot from boss runs. The FCR is more of a defense mechanism than anything else, a sorc teleporting every 8 frames is next to impossible for a monster to hit with a melee attack.

Just put an exclamation point before what you say, e.g
!Mate de Vita is speaking.
Diablo 1 is one of the scariest and most unfair games ever... in most cases when you run into The Butcher he just kills you instantly... so mean. It's still fun, though!

The only special mechanic to bug rushing is that if somebody who has received, but has not completed the Baal quest kills Baal and finishes the quest while grouped with characters who haven't killed the ancients yet the quest will complete for them too, and let them get into NM. The characters being bug rushed can be in town and the quest will still complete, as far as I know they just have to be in Act V somewhere for it to work. This means you can skip the level 20 and 40 requirement for completing the ancients quest. There's no point in skipping the 60 requirement, of course, because there isn't anything after Hell to skip to. That's how people get in to Hell difficulty at level 1.
This works in conjunction with Hell Difficulty Chaos Sanctuary runs (Chaos Runs) because you don't need to be level 60 to get there and for NO explainable reason the monsters there give XP to characters of any level. This doesn't work elsewhere at all, like go to a Baal run at less than level 25 and your XP gain will be non-existent.
As you can see, though, it's a lot of trouble to get bug rushed... you need someone who currently needs to complete the Baal quest in a normal fashion to go out of their way to assist you. This is very unlikely with people you don't know, and is the reason why normal rushing is much faster in most cases.

Not particularly. Martial Arts PvPers always seem to use Chaos or whatever that WW claw is.
And the Wirt's Leg thing is because people used to talk about some dumb made up thing called The Secret Cow Level in Diablo 1 that you could get to if you opened a town portal next to the cow in the town if you had Townkill on. It was total bullshit, but Blizzard thought it would be funny to put an actual Secret Cow Level into Diablo 2, just to fuck with everyone. They were right, it WAS funny. That you use Wirt's leg specifically to get there doesn't seem to mean much of anything.
