How can I make one side of the wall see through and the other side of the wall you cannot see though it?

Because I want it for this.

open up the texture toolbox, and select the see through face and give it the null texture
tada! now you have a one way wall!

There's a problem!

Why does it look like it's a big leak? But it's not. I used the NULL texture.

Apparently you don't know what the null texture does.

The null texture, ironically, is not an actual texture. It simply says (to ZHLT) "Hey don't render this face."

Its complicated, but that is basically how it works.

Another way is use the texture tool and select one side of your brush then change it to invis texture. After that tie it to entity func_wall set the render mode solid-no light and compile.
