I'll never understand anti-piracy people. I don't know a single person who pirates things they can afford.

Assuming it doesn't have ridiculous DRM... where there really isn't any way to actually own the product unless you pirate it...

I know people who pirate stuff they can afford.

If I like some band or movie, I don't see a problem why I should not pay money for the album or DVD, 'cause I want to support them. And to me it doesn't matter if the artist "has a shitload of moneys already and wouldn't care 'bout mine".

For me I think along the lines of "If I had to, would I pay money to own this". In most cases it's a yes. For something like downloading a TV show and watching it it's always a no. I would definitely not watch Bleach or Castle or Fringe or many other shows if I had to pay for them. Not to mention the fact that it's on TV... paying for it would be like paying for a software update on your crappy iProduct.

Have I mentioned that I love Hulu?

Unfortunately I don't know if I would pay for any music or not, for the purposes of supporting an artist and such. I never seem to listen to any music that you can actually buy, or that isn't already part of something that I've bought.

That is not the news that I wanted to present you with. The news I wanted you to know is that BitTorrent and certain ISPs are teaming up and giving the government IP addresses and real addresses to fine the people illegally dl things, they say that the gov. is giving out 850,000 sepeanas (I can never spell that word right ).

Haha... that'd so never work. The courts are already clogged and slow as it is. That might work if it wasn't so hard to nail somebody for illegal downloading. The laws are really fuzzy and it's next to impossible to attach an IP to a living person.
