this is caused by a leak. You have any errors in you zhlt file? or whereever you compile? From the pic it looks like there is no sky.

It's not a leak. If it were, you would not be able to play the map at all.
In Hammer, go to Map-> Map properties and increase the Max Viewable Distance.
May contain traces of invisible text.

Are you sure it's a leak? You get error reports saying you have a leak and you can still load the map?

You might be able to... does it create a BSP file? If so you ought to be able to play. It just goes rather f'd like this AFAIK.

It does create a bsp file anyways. leak or no. the point is. while compiling if it sais bsp file regeneration succesful then no leaks exist. But if it sais leak hole generated then it still creates bsp but you wont have lights or any other thing to make your map realistic. So leaks eventually destroy the whole effort, but the map is playable.

If you have no roof, it will cause a leak and yes, most times you can play the map even with a leak but it will cause strange problems ingame (like this one).
If you want to make an outside map, then you have to make brushes all around normally and then texture the top brush (roof) with the sky texture. You can also use the sky texture on higher side brushes.
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

SO to solve this one. You have to put a sky around and you are done.

i added light_environment and is coming right. Now the problem is...when i try to play...my player is not moving!! and after 5 seconds I can hear water flowing and my health downs and dies! I m sure i dint add any water element.
this is my map...jus a simple one for testing. The whole outer cube is the sky.

Is that a big solid button_target covering your whole map!?
A solid box. Think about it, dumbass!
How would anything be able to move if it were inside a solid box? You need space for your players to move in. The sky should be like a "roof" for your map.

First of all always check for an .err file before starting the game. If there is an .err file in your zhlt folder, don't play the map, instead you should try to find the problem.
The first thing you should do is to open your map in hammer and press alt+p then fix any problems that might come up.
Secondly open the .err file and see what it says. Sometimes the explanation in the .err file is logical enough.
If you still cannot find the problem, you can ask about it here and we'll help you (in which case you should post the content of the .err file if there is one).
Also read the mapping FAQ and before asking you can always use the search function as your question has probably been asked and answered before.
A func_water will only hurt a player if he swims in it for too long (lack of oxygen). If you want it to hurt the player as soon as he touches it, you have to cover the whole area of the func_water with trigger_hurt.
All in all, use your common sense when mapping. You cannot move if you're in a solid box, can you? (Actually you can't even be in a solid box, but that's beside the point now).
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

Actually, it's funny, that happens in TF2 sometimes - you start to lag out then your character makes a drowning noise. You don't actually drown though. Weird.
