Hi I am wondering how to make it so that in my surf map, when you fall off a ramp you get teleported to a jail.
Thanks

1.) Make another floor on top of the one you already have, go to its properties(Ctrl + T) and make it a Trigger_teleport. Make it have the AAATRIGGER texture as well.
2.) Write "Jail" in its 'Target'
3.) Click on entity Tool, choose the info_teleport_destination and put it in your jail. Then name the entity "Jail"

Ok thanks alot, and another question if possible?
have you played surf_ski_2? because i have a question about leaks.
The spawn points are in what looks like a room with one open side with a divider for T's and Ct's. there is the open wall though, there is also a jail without a roof so how are there no leaks. is this because theres a skybox?

Those arent leaks... im not sure how to explain but here it but everything u make must be enclosed in a box or something so you don't see outside... as long as ur box is closed and has no holes in it everything else wont have leaks thats the best i can explain....
Ok look, theres the surf map im working on. Look how all the ramps are enclosed in a box....those are my lvls....and each one is enclosed with a box...and as long as that box has no leaks i can make anything i want in there...like the spawns i made just like the one in Surf_ski_2 and every other surf map...

yep :D Just make sure that ur box isnt too close to the edge of the grid or u might get errors when compiling
EDIT: Whats not a good idea mello

actually fix the leaks. making a big box will take the error message away, not the actual error.

You should never make more SPACE inside your map than you need.
More space means slower compile and you more quickly reach the built-in 1998-style limits of the game which will make it unplayable.
Only use as much space as you need.
If you need the ENTIRE grid, then use it. I just doubt you need all of it.

i feel like an idiot now.
i thought the question was how to get rid of leaks, and you told him to make a big box around his map to solve it. neverrrmind.

ok i made it the way how it is in surf_ski_2, without leaks and open boxes by making a huuuuugggeeee box around the whole map. the teleporter thing worked too, but man that map was sooooo slow (so much lag)
Has any1 played surf_ski_2? tell me if you did because its a perfect example of what i need to ask
ps. there was a pretty fast compile time

lol.. Well look how big of a map it is, how come its not messed? also: will it decrease lag if there a skybox instead of regular block block
Changed (sry) I mean how come its not laggy and there is so much room, or is there the same amount of room that I have but I dont realize it. anyways I think that isnt it the persons computer thats hosting it that will determine if its laggy or not

More room won't make your map laggy on its own, but it is a contributing factor.
Your compile may stop working sooner if you have too much room. It is a liability.

yea, I tried compiling my map and it took a long time, made my computer verrrryyyy slow, and in the end didnt wok because it "paused" and never continued.
Should i make my map smaller?

well, if u made a huge wall to go around your whole map and have LOTS of extra space then close that wall in. Only use as much space as u really need

If you need the space you need the space.
Just don't expect to be able to build very much stuff in it before running into infinite compile time, or a broken compile.
If you keep things simple you can use tons of space. It just limits what you can do. Old game. Very old crusty game.
