Not much more I can say to it than that- time for a celebratory whisky. It even has some nice effects than Vista- and if I get any kind of system monitoring software running I'll tell you what it uses too.

i remember that. I wish ubuntu would have worked out on this computer, but XP demanded attention. i had to go through lots of steps to get it to boot in ubuntu for some dumb reason. next time...

And now I post from Windows, meaning that it works correctly and I haven't accidentally wiped everything. Just the contents of D: recover ;)
That's harsh about not getting it to work, if you fancy you can have a 'live trial' of it from a cd. Basically you download the cd image file, burn it to a cd then reboot with the cd in the drive; most computers are set to boot from cd anyway.

I know this truck is somewhat.... well.... dead, but I'd like to mention Compiz-Fusion. Mainly because it is really really awesome; it kicks Aero around a bit, calls it a slag and spits on it. :D
And if you stick on Emerald you can even make it look like Vista. Actually, you should YouTube it for some really awesome videos. I installed it tonight and have just been playing with it all evening.

What pisses me off is that when I installed Kanotix, I can't boot into XP anymore. GRUB must have fucked up the boot sector. 
I could probablly just install it again, but I'd need a CD, and I'm going to have to dig through my extremely cluttered house to find one.
If you jump high enough you'll hurt your ankles when you land.

Harsh! Well, not that Windows is really necessary. I have a friend who runs TF2 under WINE. And if there is anything else that a man needs in this world I'd like to know about it so I can blow it up with a soldier's rocket :D
