well im just wondering why my lights do light up the room when i run the game. i made a light spot. for its properties i put yes it is sky, thinkin that the sky will be the roof of the spawn. i also tried light and still nothing it says nothing assigned to light or sumtin sum 1 plz help. my light enviroment works but not the others.

When you run the batch file does it say about any errors? Does the bsp file get created exactly and stuff? Is your light in or on a wall? Does the dialogue box you have look like the one on the tutorial page? Check all these things; if there's still an error come back to me.
