I have tried to make a couple of maps before and they all worked fine. But my last attempt doesn't work, and in the mapname.err file it says: hlvis: Error: Portal file 'mapname.prt' does not exist, cannot vis the map


What does this mean? What do I have to do? Is there something I have forgotten to do?

In the BAT file, you probably forgot to replace the word mapname with you map's name. Mapname appears 6 times in the bat. Count and make sure you didn't miss anyting!

AND... This post should go in Hammer Mapping catagory, not Computer and Video Games.

Everything seems to be fine with the .bat file. I searched the forum for help, and as far as I can tell, everything is in order. Everything in the .bat file is correct, I have spawn points for both CT and T and I have lights.
