i think one of my main problems when making a map is step 6 or 7 i think. it says go to folder options and make sure that hide something isnt checked or what ever. how do i get to folder options ive tried everyithng. after that i think i might get a little better because i think im doing the map making right just not the complex saving, and al the files n shit

The folder option is "Hide extensions for know files"
This hides the end part of file names, like Document.txt or Image.png. This has something to do with the compiling part of it.

yepp the file extensions are important cause it lets you make change for example a .txt to a bat file

yea but how do i check to make sure. cuz i cant find it and i used instructions on superjer thing

Not having windows I can't be sure but it should be folder options, accessible from Control Panel. If you don't know where that is give up.

When there go to the third tab, scroll down a bit and UNcheck "hide extentions for known file types"

And that's it. Click ok and all will be clear.

and it says UNCHECK "hide file extensions " so they aren't hidden .



Don't see file extensions on your computer?

You need to disable extension hiding in Windows.

All you have to do is click Tools -> Folder Options on the menu bar of an open folder. Then click the View tab on the window that pops up.
