Hokay. This is my first truck in the General Discussion (Also known as the GD)
So like my truck name...Laptop HALP!
So here is the laptop story 
When I got this damn thing, it was really fast.
but now it's being a little B***
It going really slow.
I have finished defragmentating and for some reason I can't reformat the damn thing..
I have been looking around the internet and some people say that I should also do a disk cleanup. Should I?
And people say that I should get more RAM, but how would I do that with a laptop, I know how to install RAM on a desktop ut not a laptop. 
If anyone else has any suggestions please do post.
And seriously don't say that I need get a new laptop.
(Don't Flame me either...)

Have you installed anything recently? Any updates? Do the Ctrl-Alt-Del and make sure nothing is using up your resources.
Do a virus check, that'd slow ya down pretty quick.
I prefer Lavasoft's Ad Aware, which you can pick up for free at lavasoft.com
If you have Norton, uninstall it immediately.

You know what's wierd it says the the admin prevented task manager to open,how do i fix that?
Anyways for the anti-virus program I got AVG free edition.
My friend has Norton and it prevents him from going on the interwebs..lol
Edit: I have done a virus scan, got all the virus, spyware and all that shite and i got them off my comp.
but its still slow..

Install GNU/Linux, I'd recommend Ubuntu. Seriously, it was like the best thing I did for my laptop. I haven't booted it into Windows for months, and that was only once - it was months again before that. Here's the site, but I'd advise that you know what you're doing before trying this. Make backups etc and have your Windows install CD around just in case.
If you decide to go for it, message me and I'll help you with it.
Oh, you won't be able to run many Windows programs after you install it. Steam and its games run in Wine but... well you'd best research it.

I have AVG Free edition im very very proud of it.Porn with viruses on it.AVG can handle it.

Need the CD. You don't install it from Windows, see? It's a replacement. I suppose you could make a virtual CD drive (there are tools to do that) and try to install it from there... might not work. The best bit about having a CD is that you can have a trial of it before you go ahead with it. It will be kinda slow because CDs are slow but it should be OK.
Yes, they are slightly similar to Macs in that MacOS or OSX or however you say it is based on Darwin Linux. It's less sucky than MacOS though.
Also you wouldn't need any antivirus software. Why? There are no virii for Linux. Hilariously any virus that tried to download itself to my machine would fail horribly. The code just doesn't run.

Download the CD image you want. I recommend Ubuntu 8.04 desktop edition but have a look around. KDE (Kubuntu) is a bit more Windows-like and is rather sexy. I'm considering swapping to it.
When you've downloaded the ISO (this could take a long time) use your favourite CD burning software to burn it to a blank CD.
Your computer makes a copy, you stick it in the tray then close any windows that pop up then restart. It should then boot from the CD. If it doesn't, tell me.
To get back to Windows use the quit command, when it's shutting down it will eject the CD and you can boot up into Windows when you restart. Any problems at any stage just post here and I should be able to give you an hand.
(If it doesn't seem to boot from the CD try pressing F2 as it starts. Works for my PC ^^)
(This will not install Ubuntu, consider it a trial.)

Stuff that comes with Windows would do it... let's see. Yeah, try right clicking on it and selecting 'burn to CD'.
If that doesn't work, post again.

Ummm not really. In fact, it might worsen your performance for those. So long as your laptop is relatively new it should handle CS ok. As I said though you need to use Wine to get those programs running.
