bad map file? if u do u need to manually find the map and delete it then re-dl it somewhere else.
If your missing a wad file its a little different

If you have ever installed CZ then it will be there.
So what you do is, open up CS first and play CS FIRST. This way the models will be overwritten, and not replaced by stupid CZ models. There is also another way.
When going to play CZ make your CS folder read-only. Steam can't put anything into it so all should be good.
If all this fails.
Use this http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?c=76#p76. What this does, is it opens up your GCF Files, (steam most be closed) Once opened extract the counter-strike.gcf into your cstrike folder. After this then you should be good....
If this doesn't work....well then I don't know

No there shouldn't. If there is reinstall it. If that doesn't work well then look on the steam help forums.
