Hey, so I'm trying to make a room with water, and if you swim to the bottom there will be an 8-sided pipe that you can swim into and blah blah blah. So I need to know how to make 45 degree angle bends in that pipe (so it's not just a corner), but more importantly..

When I tried to do it, it created leaks! Does someone know a good way to stick a pipe going through one floor, traveling around outer space, then back through another hole in the floor?

For mine I used the un-hollowed 8-sided block and carved the hole into the floor, then hollowed it... But it always gave me leaks?

Who can halp me?

*Halp! Halp! I'm a beautiful princess, and if you rescue me from my dilemma I'll give you a kiss!

Halp!

Pipe
1. Use the brush tool. On the bottom-right side of the screen, select Categories-> Primitives & Objects-> Cylinder. Set the Faces to how many sides you want your pipe to have.

2. Create a brush. Make sure that for now that the side of the brush that's supposed to be the opening of the pipe is FACING UP.

3. Select your cylinder, right-click it and use the Hollow tool. Enter any width you'd like.

4. Select the cylinder again, right-click it and use the Ungroup tool.

5. Now select the bases of the cylinder and delete them.

6. Re-group the remaining sides of your pipe.

Ok, I should have read your whole post before writing that...

I don't understand what you are trying to do. If making a whole in the floor causes a leak, it's an outer wall. Why would you want a pipe leading outside the map?? Of course that's a leak!

Carve-tool is evil when you mix it with cylinders.

Use the brush tool. On the bottom-right side of the screen, select Categories-> Primitives & Objects-> arch. Set the Faces to how many sides you want your pipe to have and how thick.
then select the hole arch and Ctrl+M to rotate it to the side you want

About making a hole in the floor for a pipe to go through, check out this tutorial. (It's about arches but you can easily adapt it for making a hole since an arc is just a "half hole"...)

Thanks ya'll

I looked really close, and when I carved the floor with the cylinder, it not only broke the floor into triangles, the spaces between them were themselves cracks! I thought it wouldn't do that.

I like the arch idea. I will try all of this out and tell you how it goes!
