Let's talk about the upcoming Doom game. So I'm pretty excited about it, but a couple of things look pretty disappointing. Like enemies dropping medkits and the fact that you can execute them. It makes Doom look like another casual FPS.
Some people talk about the "graphix being outdated" but I don't really care as long as it has decent level/character design.
As for the gameplay, judging by the video it looks like it has that heaviness that older Doom games had with movement which is cool. But then again it could be because he was playing it with a fucking controller.
It would be great if it felt like the original Dooms, but with better graphics, but that'll never happen. Instead it'll be like every other game with a thin layer of Doom-colored paint on it.
Yeah, I'm starting to look a bit more seriously at the single-player campaign. I did the shareware E3 promo thing and played the first level, it was alright.
OK, the single-player is fucking amazing. The level design and pacing are excellent, and the story is kinda cool. Doomguy as a character is incredibly well-conceived. I love right at the beginning when some big-wig tries to give you a mission, you smash the monitor he's talking at you through, and a completely different objective pops up on your HUD. Doomguy does what he wants. Spoilers: he only wants to rip and tear.
The game was installed in the system and stored in the Memory card. Thus I permanently stored the game file inside the memory card. Memory Card Data Recovery allowed me to get back all the game files which were stored in the memory card whenever they were removed.
