Background not repeating!

Anyone know how I can make, in HTML or CSS, a background image not repeat itself all the time, so it only appears once and after that, the background colour "follows". Kinda like in the old design of superjer.com; the grey one with the lego stuff.

Hmmm. Not sure but there are ways to make a background images stay on the screen, with the page scrolling above it. If you know what I mean.

One thing that Stumbleupon has taught me is that there are many many CSS tutorial websites.
