Nzn kaip ce tau db parasyt :D et... I realy dont know, but i think you are using the texture you have not inserted to VHE....

Well about OUTSIDE WORLD: you have to large brushes or they are out of wolrd vhe grid, or it can be to "close" the end of the vhe grid....
I want to make a HL mod! Doing everythig with HL except coding C++ | its not interesting to work alone

Use Map->Check For Problems... and fix the invalid solid structues.

You have brushes with multiple faces that could just as well all be the same face. Not allowed.


Outside world

This happens sometimes when Hammer creates the .MAP file. Open the .MAP file directly in Hammer and delete the UBER-GIGANTIC brushes if you find any.

This can also happen if you put brushes too close to the edge of the grid.

Ass soon as i fixed the solid invalid structures error, saved the map, closed it. Opend it again and the whole map was gone......
It had a bunch of other errors as well but now since the map is gone i cant really tell u what it said....... Why could this have happened?

Regarding the Missing Solids error:
Before when i first opened the map there were 26 missin solids but now since ive added some other .WAD's i only get a 4 Missin Solids Error The weird thing is that the solids which are missing, got the the same texture as the other solids which arent (which appear on the map). Why could this be?

The "missing solids" problem has nothing to do with textures.

They are missing because they got corrupted.

This can happen if you vertex manip or slice them wrong, or if Hammer just spazzes out.

I don't know why your map disappeared. Hammer has a lot of strange problems. You can usually avoid them by keeping your brushes simple and aligned and just using lots of them to make more complex objects.

ok, well I'm totally new to mapping with hammer. I am working a a relatively large map. I created everything and try to build it, but there's an issue. I read this post and I tried opening the .map file like you said, and there were like about 200 objects i didn't create. I was wondering
1 how they got there
2 why they are out of the mapping area
3 how I will know which ones are safe to delete
I know i'm a noob at this, but I somewhat understand mapping. I've played with the unrealed many times. I pretty much only have this issue. Thanks if you have an answer . . .

Don't bump dead trucks.

Make your own, it makes it tidier. If you have hundreds of crazy brushes you should consider deleting them all or starting again.

Arider, as Super said sometimes Hammer bugs out and will "explode" your map.

That's probably what happened and that's why you're seeing more objects than you created.

Well I've somewhat given up. I decided to restart

This alredy happened to me!
Because a pixel what i couldn't saw i don't compiled the level, but
when i saw the level was compiled
