Uninstalled / reinstalled, no luck.
Here's the rmf Do not ask about the general plot of the map, it's for a specific mod. Truck

Quote: Do you get any error message before it crashes?
Only this: Valve Hammer editor has stopped working A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will shut down the program and notify you if a solution is available. Quote: Do any problems show up if you press alt+p in hammer (with your map loaded)?
Nope. Truck

Nope.

Used fewer than 8 wads, still get the error also with Hammer crashing upon export. So it's 'No Geometry' then? Then how should I fix that?

Read the F.A.Q., said to make new thread.

That'd fix the problem with running into them, but I wanted them to be flat so that they didn't protrude off the ground, so it looks like a real rink.

Thanks for the input, Down. Anyone else got some ideas?

I am making a hockey CS 1.6 map, and I need to make the face-off dots/circles flat, so that people don't randomly stop on the edges of the dots. I made the dots as small as I could with the smallest grid size, and I still get stuck on the circles sometimes. It's annoying and it really doesn't look good. I also tried using carve to carve the dots into the ice. But apparently, carving the dots into a brush that has already been carved causes an error/glitch. Is there any way I could make them flat without getting the 'coplanar plane' error?

Well, apparently I had an error where Hammer did not save my work where I had deleted all the entities, so the map that I had exported did not actually have those deleted. I did it again, and remade some things, and I no longer get the error. Big, big thank you to Mate de Vita and Killer-Duck.

Did what you said, Mate de Vita. And I still get the same thing, which means it's "gone perpendicular to the face", which I'm not exactly sure what that means.

I get the same errors, even when I select 'Fix all of type' and I select Fix for each of them.
Truck
User
I did, and I got multiple accounts of:
Solid Entity (func_buyzone)is empty Solid Entity (func_wall) is empty Solid Entity (func_rotating) is empty I selected fix for all of them, and I still get the error. Truck

I don't mean to ask too many questions, but I'm still not sure how to find the texture that's scaled too much/any other problem. The link didn't really give me a way to find it. I have started deleting things, and nothing has worked so far.
Truck

I see, thanks for the link. So what would be the fastest way of finding the problem? Because I'm not exactly sure how to work with the coordinates.

I'm making a Counter-Strike 1.6 map, and have already compiled and put it into my Cstrike/Maps folder. When I run Counter-Strike, select New Game and choose the map I have made, CS crashes immediately and I get this error:
I have tried doing a lot of things, but have had no luck. Thanks in advance, and apologies in advance if it's a frequently asked question, although it wasn't in the FAQ. |
