Steam doesn't want to run on Vista, or I would have downloaded it already. I've been running as administrator and all that needless bullshit, forced to convince my operating system that it's the retarded one and not me.
I'll see what I can do about all this. Vista seems to have some dumb conflicts, like how I couldn't run Vent because I had EveVoice enabled.

You should upgrade to Windows 7. The beta is more stable than Vista anyway, and it's free!

Fairy nuff. I once backed up my /home/ folder and was surprised to see several gigabytes of shit I didn't know I had (though this is another nice Linux feature: mounting /home/ as a separate partition so I can do a full reinstall without destroying my files.

I imagine that this laptop has entirely too much crap on it because I had it built for me by Dell and they've put a lot of things on here that I'm pretty sure I would never use for any reason.
It would be no big loss... but I don't know when the beta's due to expire and being without my things would be bad.
