When I use the same texture many places I get an error message

hlrad: Error:
for Face 14 (texture fifties_wall14) at

hlrad: Error: Bad surface extents (12 x 9615)
Check the file ZHLTProblems.html for a detailed explanation of this problem

It just happens when I change the texture after I have made the walls, but it doesn't happen when I make the walls with same texture.

Like this says the error is because your texture seems to be stretched too far over the face. If you change the scaling it should be better.

Do it manually.

I've also tried that, I hit the fit button and changed the X axis
on every wall with the texture problem, but it didn't appear when I textured the first walls in the beginning. There I also hit the fit button and changed the X axis

just picked this topic randomly since this error is most happening to me than anything else, besides Allocblock: full. When starting the game messege appears: "Bad surface extents 1680/0 at position, (-1998,-1420,-134), now im asking is there easy way to find those cordinations, is there somekind of navigation thingy on hammer that u can enter the cords and get straight to it.

Or how does the "position cords go" for exsample : (-1998 top (x/y),-1420 front (y/z),-134 side (x/z) and please do not enter the link to slackkiller because its been linked every forum i have tryed to look for easier solutions.

also read about HLfix here: http://www.chatbear.com/unity2/9/484,1086040712,29670/663717/0#1
does anyone of you even have heard of this HLfix, this guy on forum says it would fix those (bad surface)problems which sounds too good to be true. I tryed downloading it, but when i try use it its just pops up and shuts off straight away.

The hlfix is a useful tool but I wouldn't guarantee that it will fix the problem. And you have to use it in combination with other compile tools, not on its own. Anyway it's still in beta as far as I know...

Yes, you can find the coordinates manually, if you scroll over e.g. top view, you will see in the right bottom of the screen the x and y coordinates. When you get these right you can select everything that fits those two and then in the front or side view find the proper z coordinate.

But before you do that do an alt+p check for problems in hammer. Also see that none of the textures are scaled far above 10 (or I think also below 0.1).

P.S. if you have a question start your own firetruck, if there are several questions from different users in one single truck, it's chaos.
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.
