you probably didn't replace a 'mapname' in your batch file.

Please post the contents of your .bat file.
Also did you check for any .err files before pressing any key to continue?
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

well this is how i do it,,, instead of having counter strike starting when the map is finished compiled , so i dont put a directory for cs to start up i just let it compile and drag the bsp into the cstrike folder where u place maps , and i go to cs and run map , that seem to work for me , so try it out and see what happens... Hope this helps

Could you post your compile log and the contents of your .bat file please?
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

The .bat file is the file that you run to compile your map. You make it like it says here.
What did you write into it? Just copy-paste the entire thing.

And in the folder where your .map file is, there should also be a .log file (e.g. mapname.log or mymapsdontsuck.log). Post the contents of that file as well.
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

This means your map isn't in the server. Meaning it's not in your maps folder. Drag the .bsp file to your cs maps folder
