Google didn't help me . Is there a program somewhere that mutes a specified program? I downloaded a free game but the music is loud and you can't freaking MUTE IT! Oh, and it's too loud, I can't hear my friend talking in skype.

In windows, have the program open, then right click the speaker in the taskbar notification area and click open volume mixer, then you can adjust the volume for individual applications.

Thanks. I've learned something new.

@Down Rodeo, Rockbomb helped me install Windows 7 so he's probably not forgotten it. Yet.
