after compiling my map the game loads but my character has no weapon , no hud and their are no pre game menus or anything , what do i do to get these?

It is loading into developer mode (I think that's what it's called).
If you want it to start normally, you need to start up counterstrike, choose new game, select how many bots you want and stuff, and then start the game that way.
