if you already complied your map and have your mapname.bsp
then all you have to do is send them the mapname.bsp file and any .wad files you used that they don't/mite not have
if you haven't complied your map then comply it using the tutorial from this site

to comply = to use zhtl compliers and make the mapname.map file into a mapname.bsp file
the bsp file is what cs or hl uses ..

then just send your friend the bsp file 
if you want to post it on a site or something then put your mapname.bsp ( and any other files that come with your map )
and also the .wad files u used and anything that other people mite not have ...
put them all in a .zip folder
don't forget to take credits for your map and do NOT uplode your .map file

no thanks
all you need to do is
put your mapname.bsp , the .wad files you used in your map , and any thing else that the other guy mite not have , into a .zip folder ( zip it )
and then send a regular e-mail to the other guy ( who will not be me ) and put your mapname.zip folder in the " file attachments " on your email then send it .
btw you can make credits for your map by making a mapname.txt ( a text document that has the exact name of your map ) and write in your credits : eg : " this map was made by yours truly "

i think you can just right click on your desktop and select "new" --> then "compressed (zipped) folder"
and put in the map and stuff into that folder . sorry can't help you any more ill be back in about 2 hours

Christ almighty. If you select all of the files that you wish to have sent then right click on any one of them, then "Send to" -> "Zipped folder" you will be sorted. You can then send that using any e-mal program of your choosing.
If I were being preachy I'd tell you to use 7Zip but let's not go there.

Anyway, just upload the file to speedyshare( http://www.speedyshare.com ) when the file is uploaded it will give you a link from where the file can be downloaded, send that link to your friend.
