So I have finished a map and it compiled with no problems but when I try to load and run it in cs 1.6 the loading is stuck at "verifying resources..."

Please somebody help

Does it say anything other than that in the console? I haven't seen that problem before.

Well I tried the map again then closed the loading and loaded the console it gave me this :

How are you starting the map?

Try loading it without mods?

Im not using any mods or plugins or anything and I didn't get any mapname.err either when I was compiling so idk

Also the last phrase in the console log said :

I have no idea what that mod is nor I did ever install it to my game

ok I tried it on my completely clean and original cs 1.6 steam version and it's still the same problem

Are you using any sounds? Have you placed the sounds in the correct directory or directed the sounds to the correct path? Also you should post your compile log and tell us how you're running it, on a dedicated server or by starting up the game?

I don't think the server matters but I did place a ambient_generic and the sound was rain.wav and I placed it at :

B:/Games/Counter-Strike/cstrike/sound/ambience/rain.wav

What was the path that you put in the ambient_generic? Cause if you read here: http://twhl.info/tutorial.php?id=99 , you need to put the path name as specified. Also if you want rain, you could use env_weather, or something
