My invisible texture is not invisible.
Texture:
Name- {groundHole
invisible part 255, 0, 0 (straight blue)
Entity:
fun_wall
render mode- solid
fx amount- 255
Why isn't it invisible?

Its because you made it a fun_wall. It can either be fun, or it can be invisible, but you can't have both.

Try messing with the render mode, I recall that being the problem when I was trying to do something similar.

What did you save it as? Its possible that when you saved it the compression slightly changed the blue (though its doubtful, cuz true blue should be supported in any format), but its a possibility.

Does it appear as blue or black ingame?
Also, iirc textures have to be 8-bit bmps. Not sure about this one though.
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

Of course.

If you open the wad up you'll notice that the names are incorrect, but I appended the necessary '{' before the name and they still don't work. Also, I copied a texture from the halflife.wad and pasted it into Photoshop, and it doesn't work either (its the net texture).

If you look at the palette for your picture in Wally you'll see that the blue colour is NOT the last colour of the palette. Follow the tutorial I posted earlier on how to swap the colours to get the blue one to be at the last index.
