I'm back. I've been here on this forum before, for long long time ago. I made it work, but now when I tried making a map (my friend wanted me to) I wasn't able. I've got everything. I even went throught the whole guide again, just to find out that the way I did it was wrong or something like that. I opened campemdown.err with notepad(I named my map campemdown) then I copied the text from there. "hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 11, Side 2: has a coplanar plane at (-100, -32, 60), texture CSTRIKE_WB6PLN4
hlcsg: Error: brush with coplanar faces
Description: The map has a problem which must be fixed
Howto Fix: Check the file ZHLTProblems.html for a detailed explanation of this problem
hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 11, Side 5: plane with no normal
hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 11: outside world(+/-4096): (-100,-10000,60)-(207,-32,225)
hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 11: outside world(+/-4096): (-116,-10016,24)-(223,-16,261)
hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 11: outside world(+/-4096): (-132,-10032,28)-(239,0,257)
hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 11: outside world(+/-4096): (-116,-10016,42)-(223,-16,243)
"
What to do? I realy want help with this, and if this post already is up, Im sorry but then remove this and give me a link to the look-a-like post.

You might have some brushes outide the grid or the map (brushes) is close to the edges of the grid.
Or check and see if you have anything outside your sky box.
Bandora = tomato in arabic.. GOT IT? :)
And don't ask why I picked this nickname.. LOONG STORY!

Nah, them's exploded brushes. :D
Were you using any 'advanced' tools like, say, the vertex manipulator? It sounds to me like one of the faces has collapsed into an infinitely long line, or something close to it.

Firstly delete that brush that has gone wrong, it's not fixable. Then do it again except using the... Ah... I've forgotten the name of that tool unfortunately.

"Map" ---> "Check for problems"(Alt+P), most damaged brushes will show up there, otherwise you'll need to find them manually(Ctrl+Shift+G).

Learn to use the vertex manipulation tool correctly(e.g. concave shapes are not allowed). A good tip is to regularly press Alt+P to check for invalid shapes when using the vertex manipulation tool.

Ok, I fixed the troublesome "hill", but I got another error.
"hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 11, Side 4: has a coplanar plane at (-100, -4, 36), texture CSTRIKE_WB6PLN4
hlcsg: Error: brush with coplanar faces
Description: The map has a problem which must be fixed
Howto Fix: Check the file ZHLTProblems.html for a detailed explanation of this problem
hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 11: outside world(+/-4096): (-100,-10000,36)-(207,-4,201)
hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 11: outside world(+/-4096): (-116,-10016,0)-(223,12,237)
hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 11: outside world(+/-4096): (-132,-10032,4)-(239,28,233)
hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 11: outside world(+/-4096): (-116,-10016,18)-(223,12,219)

What to do now? I wasn't thinking at all before I posted this, so if I missed something very easy to see, Im really sorry.

As bandora said earlier in this thread, make sure your map isn't too close to the enge of the grid. If it is, go to "Edit"--->"Select all" and move the whole map closer to the center of the grid.

My worry is that you still have a brush with an error, but who knows? It could be Hammer getting 'tarded. So try like KD says and move the entire map more towards the 'middle'.

I put the whole "map" in the middle, ( it wasn't the problem, I didn't had to move it much...) But when I pressed Alt + P I got a window with a list of things wrong. There were 1 thing there. I pressed it and then fix and the whole thing just got deleted . The terrorists will die without it, so I can't just have it like this. I'll try getting an idea of how to do it else. A stair maybe? Or a ladder. Then comes another problem. I can't make ladders !

If you try again but be a bit more careful when using the tool then you should be able to use the vertex manipulation tool.
If you want a ladder you can make one using the instructions here.

He always posts on topic. Why would it matter, really? Especially in the Hammer Mapping section... No-one cares...

No. He still posts every day.
