Does anyone know a program that you could use to edit (resize) an animated gif file without losing the animation?
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

Eh, probably the GIMP. I don't like GIFs though. Everyone should use MNGs! Aside from anything, GIF is a pretty shitty file format.

Maybe it is just on Macs, but GIMP SUCKS with GIFs. It always screws up the quality and puts ugly dots everywhere.

The dots are from interpolation - GIFs support 256 colours so it has to simulate the extra colours somehow, generally by mixing two colours together. This is why GIFs are shit.

No. If I open a gif, edit it and save it again with GIMP, GIMP screws it up. It was fine before I edit it with GIMP.

And yea, GIFs are shit, even without GIMP editing them. PNGs are way cooler.
