man the cs 1.6 flashlight sucks and the source one is like the halo flashlight. is there anyway to get a source like flashlight into cs 1.6? The cs 1.6 flashlight only lights textures (stupid) and not models. this makes it hard to watch zombies because your forced to point the flashlight at the ground (so you can see them) and then you can't shoot them. zombie mod would be easier to play if it was more like the source flashlight. so any help because i know you can get the source models and the guns for cs 1.6, but what about the flashlight?

No. In fact, why not play CS:S? Or even better, play TF2 or L4D? (I likes my abbreviations I do).
OK, grudging explanation... In the original Half-Life engine lights are calculated in a very simple manner (GoldSrc is hardly CryEngine2). The polygons the light falls on are made to reflect a lot of light (really their colour is changed to one close to white, ish). In Source (technically the Episode One incarnation) the light is done differently, I can't remember exactly how. Might be... Umm... Yeah, there's a bit more ambient lighting added in through the use of clever shaders *handwave*. In the Episode Two engine you get dynamic shadows! It's sexy. Which is worrying in zombie games.
Hilariously, in F.E.A.R. the flashlight is just a texture applied to the entire screen, lighting the pixels it falls over. Or at least, that's how it seems to be done. For a game with such good lighting otherwise it's a little disappointing.
So where would you put it? This forum is filled with people biting the new posters because they post something in the "wrong" section, just because there happens to be one called Computer & Video Games. If it is called that. Whatever. My point is, you suck.
