I was really looking forward to this game to be released on PC. Don't really like playing on console.

I read that the developers wouldn't be able to optimize it for PC, so I haven't bought it yet. Maybe won't.

How bad is the port?

You pretty much need a game pad, and a third-party fix to truly use resolutions above the internally locked 1024x768. There is no fix for the framerate lock of 30fps but the game plays smoothly so it isn't really an issue in the first place.

The game itself is super-awesome. Gamepad highly recommended for surgical input.

But then if something goes wrong you can't fix it. You can't mod it. You can't use whatever game pad you want. Also it'll run worse unless your hardware is truly ancient.

Right, better graphics at higher resolution with the 3rd party mod, option to use keyboard+mouse if you really insist (seriously go gamepad), and from what I've heard it's easier to meet up with your friends on PC versus xbizzle. Also quicker load times (if any) etc. Oh and at char creation you can type in the name instead of using a stupid onscreen keyboard. Don't forget there are likely a lot more players on pc right now since it just launched, although the xbox just got DLC so probably a lot of people there too. Once you cut through the bullshit the game is awesome. I like hard games.

What aren you doing? Dark souls..it..it changed me..who I was..who I talked to how i talked how i lived everything.

Souls..souls is all i thought about. souls was my food my blood my thirst. it wouldnt stop. I couldnt stop. Those i killed still haunt me. The ones i feared and slain will never unsew from my brain. Draining their souls to the last drip.

Going through the hells of Blighttown was the worst. I wasn't like the kids these days. I didn't have a "Master Key" I went through the hordes of thse toxin ravanged dwellers and fought my way town into the dephs. Claiming their souls was no easy feat. Along with the many Knights and other Hollows. The wolf..the kings the spider lady...all the evils that past. Until that faithul day. I found him..

Gwyn..that mass swordman built for destruction. His large flaming blade ever scarred my mind. A fight it was. His sword seared through my armor cutting me to the bone and further! I bout drew my last breath that day. However i triumpht over the man who once was the lord of cinder. and i douge forth as the new dark lord.

But..that life is before me now...for now..
