CS Map not loading

I followed all the instructions in the guide but when it said to press any key and cs would start up nothing happened.
I didn't make any error in my map making

It might be better to launch CS normally and load the map from there (with a console command; post if you don't know how to do this).

Open CS, go to the console and write:
map mapname

Where mapname is your map's name.

Then hit Enter.
