Actually you probably don't. It is quite possible to run CounterStrike on my one-and-a-half year old laptop with Intel integrated graphics (for what it's worth mine is an Intel 945). If you want to run anything else I'd recommend looking at ATi or nVidia. What's your price range? ATi have some nice but cheap cards out in the 4000 range.
